The feel of this piece vividly reflects the title you've chosen for it, and the natural fade of the mountains into the background due to the fog really accentuates its depth and mood. The overall tone of the piece in terms of emotion and thoughtfulness, at least from my part, is peace and tranquility, as well as a hint of exploration and wonderment; as I live in a rocky area, the formations of the hills really hit me as it looks like a god carved into the earth like a layer cake. I believe that's snow, or at least it looks like it, anyhow it adds greatly to the mood of the piece. The mood itself is consistent throughout the piece, and I greatly enjoy that.
I keep finding myself drawn into it, but I wonder if it would've been possible to bump up the darks in the piece to bring it all the way to the viewer, such as the foremost ranges at the base of the mountains, such as the little cove or the far right side of the photo, or is this completely natural and unedited as far as Photoshop goes?
I enjoy that you haven't centered the piece, it adds more of a path for my eyes to follow and get lost in the nothingness above the mountains. The contrast in texture (in terms of terrain) is interesting to me, as the left is rather rough and disturbed but the right is rolling towards the river. It's well balanced and intriguing.
